January 20, 2023: Lafayette, LA 70507 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) and the visiting Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA), saw Carencro's basketball squad overcome Sam Houston by a tally of 54-36.
With the victory, Carencro improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Bears host Barbe (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 17-4.
Next up, the Broncos play the Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Sam Houston will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 41-40 league win over Sulphur (Sulphur, LA).
