Franklin Cougars (El Paso, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX), 45-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Socorro (El Paso, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Trail Blazers play the Eastlake Falcons (El Paso, TX) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Americas will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record.
