Wisconsin High School Basketball - St. Croix Central holds off Northwestern
January 13, 2024: Maple, WI 54854 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI) and the host Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI), saw St. Croix Central's basketball squad hold off Northwestern by a tally of 81-74.
With the victory, St. Croix Central improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI) to confront the Panthers in a Middle Border challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Ellsworth lost 67-46 in their recent league challenge against Prescott (Prescott, WI)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs (Chetek, WI) in a Heart O'North challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Northwestern will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 76-53 league loss to Ladysmith (Ladysmith, WI).
