The Pike Central Chargers basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Wood Memorial Trojans to 42 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Chargers now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Knox for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Pike Central will battle a Warriors team coming off a 47-40 league win over Shoals (Shoals, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 5-10.

The Trojans (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN). The Vikings enter the Blue Chip contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Barr-Reeve ran past Loogootee (Loogootee, IN), 43-41, in a league contest.
