Alaska High School Basketball - Thunder Mountain tops Sitka
January 13, 2024: Juneau, AK 99801 Thunder Mountain Falcons (Juneau, AK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sitka Wolves (Sitka, AK), 61-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Thunder Mountain upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Chugiak (Chugiak, AK) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 3-4.
Next up, the Wolves play the Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) in a 3A Eastern bout, on Thursday, January 18. Sitka will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 61-45 non-league loss to Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK).
