The Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) basketball crushed the visiting Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots (San Diego, CA), 60-25 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Highlanders (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs go into the Grossmont - Hills test with a 8-10 record.

The Pilots now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Scripps Ranch for a Western test on Tuesday, January 16. Academy of Our Lady of Peace will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 70-43 league win over Christian (El Cajon, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 11-8.
