The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Buford Yellow Jackets (Lancaster, SC) and the host NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks (Waxhaw, NC), observed Buford's basketball team knock off NorthPoint Christian Academy by a score of 87-77.

The Yellow Jackets (3-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Pageland, SC). The Eagles come into the AA Region 4 challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Central prevailed over Cheraw (Cheraw, SC), 68-61, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the NightHawks encounter the Walnut Grove Christian Christian Warriors (Fort Mill, SC) in a CSAA challenge, on Thursday, January 16. NorthPoint Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Christian Warriors come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 75-43 league loss to Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC).
