Illinois High School Basketball - Joppa-Maple Grove bested by Century
January 13, 2025: Ullin, IL 62992 Century Centurions (Ullin, IL) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers (Joppa, IL), 77-63 in a league match.
With the victory, Century advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Centurions travel to Pope County (Golconda, IL) to meet the Pirates in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 15. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 2-10. Pope County lost 76-73 in their recent non-league match against Century (Ullin, IL)
The Rangers now own a 0-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Egyptian for a South Egyptian match on Thursday, January 16. Joppa-Maple Grove will meet a Pharaohs squad coming off a 58-48 league loss to Dongola (Dongola, IL). The Pharaohs record now stands at 7-12.
