Highline Pirates (Burien, WA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Kent-Meridian Royals (Kent, WA), 52-46 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Highline advances its record to 5-7 on the year. The Pirates host Evergreen (Seattle, WA) to face the Wolverines in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Wolverines enter the match with a record of 3-9. Evergreen lost 74-66 in their recent non-league match against Decatur (Federal Way, WA)

The Royals now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Federal Way for a 3A/4A North Puget Sound match on Friday, January 17. Kent-Meridian will face a Eagles squad coming off a 71-56 league win over Enumclaw (Enumclaw, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 11-2.
