Virginia High School Basketball - McLean fells Washington-Liberty
January 13, 2025: Arlington, VA 22201 The McLean Highlanders basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Washington-Liberty Generals to 48 in the Highlanders league triumph on Monday.
The Highlanders now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they host Herndon for a District 2 game on Tuesday, January 14. McLean will confront a Hornets team coming off a 53-52 non-league win over Dominion (Sterling, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Washington-Liberty falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Langley (McLean, VA) to confront the Saxons in a District 2 game on Wednesday, January 15. The Saxons go into the game with a record of 4-9. Langley won 55-54 in their recent league game against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA)
