Iowa High School Basketball - Waverly-Shell Rock routs Sumner-Fredericksburg
January 13, 2025: Sumner, IA 50674 In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks basketball team scored a big 72-33 win over the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars.
The Go-Hawks (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA). The Vikings come into the Northeast Iowa contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Decorah-North Winneshiek was trounced by Cascade (Cascade, IA), 53-39, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - East contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Sumner-Fredericksburg will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Huskies come into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 66-26 non-league win over West Central (Maynard, IA).
