Italy Gladiators (Italy, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX), 64-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Italy upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX) to play the Eagles in a 2A Region II District 12 bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-8. Valley Mills lost 61-46 in their recent league bout against Itasca (Itasca, TX)

Next up, the Wampus Cats play the Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX) in a 2A Region II District 12 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Itasca will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record.
