The John Paul II Cardinals basketball team scored 91 points and held the visiting Parish Episcopal Panthers to 41 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Prestonwood Christian for a TAPPS 6A District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 18. John Paul II will meet a Lions team coming off a 41-40 non-league win over Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX). The Lions record now stands at 16-5.

The Panthers (17-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Lynch (Dallas, TX). The Friars enter the TAPPS 6A District 2 contest with a 17-8 record. In their last contest, Bishop Lynch was routed by Trinity Christian (Addison, TX), 62-52, in a league bout.
