In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears basketball team scored a decisive 47-23 triumph over the Union City Indians.

In their next game, the Golden Bears meet the Shenandoah Raiders (Middletown, IN) in a Mid-Eastern match, on Saturday, January 15. Monroe Central will attempt to move on its 11-0 season record.
