Texas High School Basketball - Vega crushes Bovina

Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Bovina Mustangs (Bovina, TX), 68-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vega upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Olton (Olton, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 5-9.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Bovina will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Roughriders come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 48-32 league loss to Vega (Vega, TX).
