Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC), 80-71 in a league bout.

With the win, Atkins upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Camels host Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC) to play the Golden Eagles in a bout on Friday, January 21. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Ben L. Smith won 66-10 in their recent non-league bout against Bethany (Summerfield, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Reidsville Rams (Reidsville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 19. Rockingham County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
