Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV), 49-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV) to clash with the Cardinals in a bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Spring Mills lost 81-26 in their recent non-league bout against Millbrook (Winchester, VA)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) in a game, on Friday, February 11. Washington will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
