Ohio High School Basketball - Northmont nips Butler

January 14, 2023: Vandalia, OH 45377

Northmont Thunderbolts (Clayton, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Butler Aviators (Vandalia, OH), 51-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northmont upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts host Sidney (Sidney, OH) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Sidney lost 68-48 in their recent non-league bout against Piqua (Piqua, OH)

Next up, the Aviators play the Northridge Polar Bears (Dayton, OH) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 17. Butler will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Polar Bears come into the battle with a 7-6 record after their 77-50 league loss to Miami East (Casstown, OH).
