The Tallwood Lions basketball team scored 88 points and held the host Deep Creek Hornets to 68 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bayside for a Beach contest on Friday, January 20. Tallwood will battle a Marlins team coming off a 55-48 league loss to Salem (Virginia Beach, VA). The Marlins record now stands at 5-9.

The Hornets (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Braves enter the Southeastern contest with a 3-6 record. In their last contest, Indian River was defeated by Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA), 67-45, in a league contest.
