Illinois High School Basketball - Quincy holds off Lincoln

January 14, 2023: Quincy, IL 62301

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) and the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), saw Quincy's basketball squad hold off Lincoln by a tally of 43-40.

With the victory, Quincy improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host East Moline United (East Moline, IL) to confront the Panthers in a Western Big 6 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. East Moline United won 85-36 in their recent league challenge against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL)

Next up, the Railsplitters confront the Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Purple Raiders come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 70-43 non-league loss to Morton (Morton, IL).
