Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln nips Rock Island
January 21, 2023: Lincoln, IL 62656 Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), 35-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lincoln upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Railsplitters travel to Normal West (Normal, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 14-10. Normal West lost 71-53 in their recent non-league bout against O'Fallon (O'Fallon, IL)
Next up, the Rocks play the East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Rock Island will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 63-51 league loss to Quincy (Quincy, IL).
