Wisconsin High School Basketball - Butternut crushes Birchwood
January 14, 2023: Butternut, WI 54514 Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Birchwood Bobcats (Birchwood, WI), 70-34 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Butternut upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Midgets travel to Drummond (Drummond, WI) to play the Lumberjacks in a Indianhead bout on Monday, January 16. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Drummond won 45-30 in their recent league bout against Washburn (Washburn, WI)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Clayton Bears (Clayton, WI) in a Lakeland - East bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Birchwood will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 38-30 league loss to Flambeau (Tony, WI).
