Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Burrell holds off Yough
January 14, 2023: Lower Burrell, PA 15068 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) and the visiting Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA), saw Burrell's basketball squad hold off Yough by a tally of 35-32.
With the victory, Burrell improves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Bucs travel to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to confront the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 challenge on Monday, January 16. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Deer Lakes lost 54-20 in their recent league challenge against Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA)
Next up, the Cougars confront the South Park Eagles (South Park, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 4 challenge, on Monday, January 16. Yough will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 63-32 non-league loss to Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA).
