Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA), 39-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Vikings host Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to clash with the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 bout on Monday, January 30. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Deer Lakes won 53-27 in their recent league bout against Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA)
