Idaho High School Basketball - Filer edges Preston

The Filer Wildcats (Filer, ID) basketball nipped the host Preston Indians (Preston, ID), 40-37 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Kimberly (Kimberly, ID). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Sawtooth Central Idaho test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Kimberly was tipped by Buhl (Buhl, ID), 45-39, in a league test.

The Indians now own a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to Century for a 4A South East Idaho test on Wednesday, January 18. Preston will encounter a Diamondbacks squad coming off a 60-46 non-league loss to Shelley (Shelley, ID). The Diamondbacks record now stands at 8-8.
