Middleton Cardinals (Middleton, WI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Madison Memorial Spartans (Madison, WI), 78-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Middleton upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Cardinals host Stoughton (Stoughton, WI) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-10.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Madison La Follette Lancers (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight bout, on Thursday, January 19. Madison Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 61-44 league loss to Janesville Craig (Janesville, WI).
