California High School Basketball - San Marcos overwhelms Rio Mesa
January 14, 2023: Oxnard, CA 93036 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) and the host Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA), saw San Marcos's basketball squad wallop Rio Mesa by a tally of 58-13.
With the victory, San Marcos improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Royals host Oxnard (Oxnard, CA) to confront the Yellowjackets in a Channel challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. Oxnard won 60-38 in their recent league challenge against Buena (Ventura, CA)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Dos Pueblos Chargers (Goleta, CA) in a Channel challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Rio Mesa will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 61-42 league loss to Ventura (Ventura, CA).
