January 14, 2024: Ozone Park, NY The Epic South (Ozone Park, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY), 64-62 in Sunday's non-league test.
The (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, NY). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Richmond Hill got by Bryant (Queens, NY), 64-59, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Christ the King for a non-league test on Saturday, January 20. Cardinal Hayes will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 53-51 league win over St. Francis Prep (Fresh Meadows, NY). The Royals record now stands at 12-1.
