In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Austintown-Fitch Falcons basketball team scored a good 64-49 triumph over the Howland Tigers.

The Falcons (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Highland (Medina, OH). The Hornets go into the non-league contest with a 10-1 record. In their last contest, Highland topped Roosevelt (Kent, OH), 60-54, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) in a All-American contest, on Friday, January 17. Howland will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 79-45 league loss to Harding (Warren, OH).
