New York High School Basketball - Coxsackie-Athens knocks off Cairo-Durham
January 14, 2025: Coxsackie, NY 12051 In Tuesday's league contest, the host Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks basketball team scored a good 68-56 win over the Cairo-Durham Mustangs.
The Riverhawks (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Greenville (Greenville, NY). The Spartans come into the Section 2 Patroon contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Greenville defeated Maple Hill (Castleton on Hudson, NY), 60-46, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Watervliet Cannoneers (Watervliet, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon contest, on Friday, January 17. Cairo-Durham will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Cannoneers come into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 86-55 league loss to Hudson (Hudson, NY).
