In Tuesday's non-league test, the Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC) basketball squad knocked off the visiting North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC), by a score of 55-47.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Wake Prep Academy Guardians (Wake Forest, NC) in a 1A/2A Super Six test, on Thursday, January 16. Franklin Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-5 season record. The Guardians come into the test with a 13-3 record after their 67-55 league win over Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC).

The Panthers (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Beddingfield (Wilson, NC). The Bruins come into the 2A Neuse test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Beddingfield was knocked off by Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC), 61-52, in a league test.
