The Jaybirds now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Aspermont for a 1A Region II District 15 bout on Friday, January 17.
With the loss, Wellington falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Skyrockets travel to Highland Park (Amarillo, TX) to play the Hornets in a 2A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 17. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 9-13. Highland Park lost 60-36 in their recent league bout against Quanah (Quanah, TX)
