Mississippi High School Basketball - Calhoun Academy overwhelms Marvell Academy
January 14, 2025: Calhoun City, MS 38916 The Calhoun Academy Cougars basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Marvell Academy Eagles to 20 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now possess a 19-10 record. They play next when they travel to Lee Academy for a MAIS 2A District 1 game on Thursday, January 16. Calhoun Academy will confront a Cougars team coming off a 56-32 non-league loss to Rosa Fort (Tunica, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Marvell Academy falls to 2-4 on the campaign.
