Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC), 74-22 in a league match.

With the victory, Draughn advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to meet the Cougars in a 1A/2A Western Highlands match on Friday, January 17. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 11-2. Mountain Heritage won 59-36 in their recent league match against Madison (Marshall, NC)

The Dragons now own a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rosman for a 1A/2A Western Highlands match on Friday, January 17. NCSSM: Morganton will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 50-19 non-league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 4-7.
