The Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) basketball crushed the host Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN), 81-16 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Wolves now possess a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chesterton for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. Hammond Central will play a Trojans team coming off a 71-23 league win over La Porte (La Porte, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Whiting falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Oilers travel to Westville (Westville, IN) to play the Blackhawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 16. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Westville lost 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN)
