New York High School Basketball - Northeastern Clinton trounced by Saranac
January 14, 2025: Champlain, NY 12919 Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY), 65-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Saranac advances its record to 10-2 on the year. The Spartans host Moriah (Port Henry, NY) to face the Vikings in a Section 7 Champlain Valley match on Thursday, January 16. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 8-2. Moriah won 48-22 in their recent non-league match against Schroon Lake (Schroon Lake, NY)
The Cougars now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northern Adirondack for a Section 7 Champlain Valley match on Thursday, January 16. Northeastern Clinton will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 61-35 league loss to Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-5.
