In Tuesday's league test, the Simmons Blue Devils (Hollandale, MS) basketball squad trounced the visiting West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS), by a final score of 61-23.

Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Shaw Warriors (Shaw, MS) in a 1A Region 5 test, on Friday, January 17. Simmons will attempt to upgrade on its 18-0 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 4-11 record after their 40-38 league win over Leland (Leland, MS).

The Choctaws (12-6) will now prepare for their test against West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 5 test with a 0-10 record.
