January 14, 2025: Sykesville, MD 21784 South Carroll Cavaliers (Sykesville, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD), 40-20 in a non-league match.
With the victory, South Carroll upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cavaliers host Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-1. Francis Scott Key won 53-18 in their recent non-league match against Liberty (Sykesville, MD)
The Lions now sport a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westminster for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Liberty will face a Owls squad coming off a 40-20 non-league win over Winters Mill (Westminster, MD). The Owls record now stands at 2-0.
