The Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) basketball edged the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC), 61-58 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pine Lake Prep for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. Corvian Community will play a Pride team coming off a 41-37 non-league win over Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC). The Pride record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Mountain Island Charter falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Raptors travel to Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC) to play the Lions in a bout on Thursday, January 16. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Langtree Charter Academy lost 41-37 in their recent non-league bout against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC)
