New Mexico High School Basketball - Taos tops St. Pius X
January 15, 2022: Albuquerque, NM 87120 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) and the host St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM), saw Taos's basketball squad knock off St. Pius X by a count of 49-41.
With the victory, Taos upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM) to play the Elks/Elkettes in a 4A District 2 challenge on Friday, January 21. The Elks/Elkettes come into the challenge with a record of 9-7.
Next up, the Sartans play the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) in a 4A District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 18. St. Pius X will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
