New Mexico High School Basketball - Los Alamos nudges St. Pius X
January 22, 2022: Los Alamos, NM 87544 Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM), 33-32 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Los Alamos upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Hilltoppers host Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM) to clash with the Sundevils in a 4A District 2 bout on Thursday, January 27. The Sundevils go into the bout with a record of 8-10. Espanola Valley lost 66-50 in their recent league bout against Moriarty (Moriarty, NM)
Next up, the Sartans clash with the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 25. St. Pius X will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 11-5 record after their 67-21 league win over Belen (Belen, NM).
