Arizona High School Basketball - Safford knocked off by Pima
January 15, 2024: Safford, AZ 85546 The Pima Roughriders basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Safford Bulldogs to 46 in the Roughriders non-league triumph on Monday.
The Roughriders now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blue Ridge for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 17. Pima will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 51-48 non-league win over Round Valley (Eagar, AZ). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 5-7.
The Bulldogs (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Empire (Tucson, AZ). The Ravens enter the 3A South contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Empire was defeated by Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ), 84-73, in a league contest.
