Illinois High School Basketball - Waukegan nips Wauconda
January 15, 2024: Waukegan, IL 60085 Waukegan Bulldogs (Waukegan, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wauconda Bulldogs (Wauconda, IL), 81-76 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Waukegan upgrades its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Lake Forest (Lake Forest, IL) to play the Scouts in a North Suburban bout on Friday, January 19. The Scouts come into the bout with a record of 13-5. Lake Forest won 61-50 in their recent league test against Mundelein (Mundelein, IL)
The Bulldogs now own a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Rolling Meadows for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 16. Wauconda will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 66-43 non-league loss to Evanston (Evanston, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-4.
