Alabama High School Basketball - Moody tops Briarwood Christian
January 15, 2024: Moody, AL 35004 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Moody Blue Devils (Moody, AL) and the visiting Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL), saw Moody's basketball squad knock off Briarwood Christian by a count of 58-46.
With the victory, Moody upgrades its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host St. Clair County (Odenville, AL) to play the Fighting Saints in a 5A Area 11 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Fighting Saints come into the challenge with a record of 0-17. St. Clair County lost 49-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Westminster School at Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL)
Next up, the Lions play the Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL) in a 6A Area 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Briarwood Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 44-17 non-league win over Montevallo (Montevallo, AL).
