Caro Tigers (Caro, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Vassar Vulcans (Vassar, MI), 34-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Caro upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI) to play the Hatchets in a Greater Thumb - West bout on Thursday, January 18. The Hatchets come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Bad Axe won 30-23 in their recent league bout against Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI)

Next up, the Vulcans play the Laker Lakers (Pigeon, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Vassar will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Lakers come into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 29-21 league win over Unionville-Sebewaing (Sebewaing, MI).
