Washington High School Basketball - Mead holds off Lakeside
January 15, 2024: Seattle, WA 98125 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mead Panthers (Spokane, WA) and the host Lakeside Lions (Seattle, WA), saw Mead's basketball squad hold off Lakeside by a tally of 62-60.
The Panthers (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Cheney (Cheney, WA). The Blackhawks go into the 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Cheney was tipped by Central Valley (Spokane Valley, WA), 68-28, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 10-1 record. They play next when they host Holy Names Academy for a 3A Metro test on Wednesday, January 17. Lakeside will encounter a squad coming off a 56-53 non-league loss to Bellevue (Bellevue, WA). The record now stands at 4-6.
