The Hawks now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newcomb for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 17. Thoreau will confront a Skyhawks team coming off a 44-25 non-league win over Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM). The Skyhawks record now stands at 4-6.
The Tigers (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Taos (Taos, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Taos was toppled by Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 23-19, in a non-league battle.
