New York High School Basketball - Greece Athena sneaks past Canandaigua Academy
January 15, 2025: Rochester, NY 14612 The Greece Athena Trojans (Rochester, NY) basketball edged the visiting Canandaigua Academy Braves (Canandaigua, NY), 73-67 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 10-0 record. They play next when they travel to Eastridge for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. Greece Athena will play a Lancers team coming off a 49-45 league win over Honeoye Falls-Lima (Honeoye Falls, NY). The Lancers record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Canandaigua Academy falls to 6-1 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Brockport (Brockport, NY) to play the Blue Devils in a Section 5 Monroe 3 bout on Friday, January 24. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 3-10.
