The Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks nipped the visiting Cortez Colts basketball squad by a final score of 46-40 in Wednesday's league outing.

Next, the Golden Hawks face the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon outing, on Friday, January 24. Desert Sunrise will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record.

The Colts (2-8) will now prepare for their outing against Yuma (Yuma, AZ). The Criminals enter the 4A Black Canyon outing with a 6-3 record.
