Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting La Joya Community Fighting Lobos (Avondale, AZ), 80-7 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Fairfax upgrades its record to 6-8 on the year. The Stampede host Central (Phoenix, AZ) to face the Bobcats in a 5A Metro match on Friday, January 17. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 2-5. Central won 56-37 in their recent non-league match against Washington (Phoenix, AZ)

The Fighting Lobos now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a 5A Central Valley battle on Friday, January 17. La Joya Community will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 38-36 league loss to Washington (Phoenix, AZ). The Patriots record now stands at 1-7.
